Enjoy Your Visit.

Splinter was formed on 22 February 1970 by John Vasco.  Original members Steve Dittmer, Peter Cribley and Liam Curtin had been in the same year as John at Cardinal Allen Grammar School in West Derby, Liverpool.  Peter Hall was a good friend of theirs, and Steve, Liam and Peter Hall already had ideas about forming a band.  A telephone call to Peter Cribley, and a fair bit of persuasion, finalised the original line-up.

Early backline equipment consisted of Selmer and Vox amps, with Steve getting a Slingerland drum kit.
